Artist Statement
- Stephen Robb
- Over the last seven years I have spent a great deal of time learning about metal, craft, art and trade beginning as a student at Box Hill Institute completing (the now defunct) Diploma of Engineering Technology (Jewellery), followed by a Fine Art Degree at RMIT in the Object Based Practice Studio, and concurrently becoming member of the Melbourne based research jewellery group, Part-B, and now continuing in an apprenticeship in the security industry. I have made the transitions from Goldsmith to Silversmith to Locksmith. I seem very determined to be some kind of smith.
