A Romance with Freidrich

This dyad of rings are A Romance with Friedrich. Developed from three paintings by the romantic artist Casper David Friedrich, abstracted and interpreted as hand objects. They eco the dusky tones and melancholic wonder of this past artist's moody portrayal of the wilderness.

The shadows cast by these rings are as much a part of the rings as the materials used to create them, as light is an important part of the subject matter in Friedrich's paintings.
